No limits on numbers, enough said!!!


Man, what a mission this whole COVID thing is. Events are being cancelled left, right and center, so disappointing for everyone involved.

We have thought long and hard about both the Big Bang Adventure Race and the Dirt Duathlon Adventure Race series and have decided we will do our very best to keep these events going. We want to keep getting out there as much as you guys do, so let’s do this! For the purposes of 100% clarity for all of us we are putting the following into place.


Our plan is based on the current RED traffic light setting, with gatherings / events limited to 100 people in any defined space.  We have changed our refund policy to 100% for the 2022 events but this does come with some proof and a time frame, read on for the ins and outs. All policies will be continually monitored to keep in line with government legislation.


  • Entries, for now, will be limited to 100 people per event. Please note, event staff are on top of these 100 quotas.

  • If you can not make the event because you have a confirmed case of COVID, are a close contact and / or self-isolating we will give you and your team (if you cannot find a replacement) a 100% refund. You must send us proof to be eligible. No proof, no refund. Proof will be in the form of a copy of the official documentation confirming you are a positive case or required to self-isolate, clearly stating your name and the date.

  • The team entry maybe transferred to another team for $10pp or to another event in the 2022 or 2023 series with no additional cost.

  • Normal entry and refund conditions apply for those with no COVID ‘issues’ Refer to our T’s and C’s here.

  • Merchandise is ordered 2 weeks prior, any withdrawals within this time frame will still receive their ordered items. Items will be posted out after the event at the purchaser’s cost or can be collected at the next event.

  • There will be no spectators permitted, no exceptions.

If We, the organizing team and volunteers, are unable to deliver the event due to COVID all teams will have the option to receive a 100% refund, be transferred to the next event in the series or an event in the 2023 series.
